About the weblog

This is mostly an archive of blog entries by me, Silvers. I have plans for expanding it when I have time - this site is always under construction.

Someday I'll write a post detailing my philosophy regarding the internet in its current form. For now, I'll say this: I believe in an accessible, customizable, and free web for everyone. I believe that everyone should be free from advertising and that privacy is a right.

A little about me, the webmaster:

I'm in the middle of getting a degree in environmental science, which means I spend lots of time thinking about plants and animals and the world around us.
When I'm not doing homework, I'm working in the lab or at my part-time job at a local coffeeshop, which has made me just slightly pretentious about coffee.
I'm queer in every sense of the word.
Because I'll probably talk about it in a blog entry at some point: I'm also episcopalian. I have a difficult history with religion, but I believe firmly in community and forgiveness as necessary for humanity.
In those brief moments away from work or school, I like to knit, watch TV shows, read, listen to music, and I have been trying to get back into running.

I think that's all I'll say for now. I'm not very good at coding, but I am good at searching for answers. I hope this website becomes better and better with time.
